Direct thermal – thermal paper labels for short to medium term use with limited resistance to scuffing and moisture. They will also discolour if exposed to direct sunlight (UV). Contact should be avoided with oil and fats. These are ideal for shipping labels due to their cheap pricing.
- Top coated direct thermal – a paper label with a protective coating on the surface of the label to provide greater resistance to scuffing and moisture and has better resistance to UV. It also provides more resistance to chemicals and grease etc.
- Direct Thermal Polypropylene – this is our most durable direct thermal label material. It is a synthetic label with a top–coat, providing a higher level of protection against scuffing and moisture, with a higher level of durability than paper labels.
